The sound checks are done and the appointed time is here – the strains of 2001 a space odyssey begins to stream from the speakers and the countdown begins… Drums – check, lead guitar and vocals – check, bass – check, Sax and keyboards – check, Duct tape – check, Rubber chicken – check, Audience… The crowd begins to applaud and cheer then the band launches into their opening song with vigor and enthusiasm sounding very much like the original artist.

Franks In Opera is a local cover band that plays at casinos, saloons, and bars in the Snohomish and King County areas north of Seattle. The band members are: Lyle –guitar player extraordinaire and lead vocalist; Kris world’s best smelling bass player; Alan, the affable sax man; and Stuart the stalwart drummer. Together, they present a live musical show that covers a wide range of music genres. They play funk from the Commodores, Tone Loc, and Michael Jackson; Disco from K. C. and the Sunshine Band and Cameo; Rock from AC/DC, Van Halen; and Country from Johnny Cash and Big and Rich.
